I am a PhD student in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Science at the University of Illinois. I joined Dr. Carena van Riper’s research group in Fall 2017, and am working on a study investigating angler behavior and aquatic invasive species.

My research aims to approach fisheries management issues from a social science perspective. I study angler behavior and management preferences, as well as their relationships with nature, with the goal of developing management practices to which anglers will be receptive and supportive. Engaging with researchers from multiple disciplines, as well as involving anglers and practitioners at multiple stages of the research process are key components of this work.
